Special Announcement!

It is official... The Raw Seed will be taking a road trip to Oregon this week to celebrate The Raw Union of Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes! Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes are well known names and faces within the raw community. Angela is an amazing example of how the raw food lifestyle can completely transform one's universe. I had heard and read of raw food for years, but it was Angela's CNN interview that sparked the raw transition for myself and Dustin. Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes have chosen to celebrate their union on the summer solstice. David Wolfe will be marrying them, and better yet... you are invited!

Everyone is invited! In fact... Raw Chef Michelle from Arnold's Way will be there sharing her beautiful voice with the entire festival. She was invited to sing at the wedding ceremony AND at the reception. She will also be telling her raw story during the festivities. The Raw Seed will be there, video camera in hand, to capture the Raw Union and Michelle's performances.  Expect video footage, photographs, and the fun details in upcoming posts!

Dustin and I are leaving Colorado on Tuesday and will be heading west to Fairfax, California to camp for a few days.  We 'accidentally' found Fairfax on a road trip we took last year, it's one of the most magical places I have ever experienced. I'm really excited to camp in Fairfax for a few days. Along the way we will stop at Cafe Gratitude, a raw cafe in San Francisco, their menu looks delicious and their recipe books are awesome. I will be doing a feature post on my visit to Cafe Gratitude, so stay tuned.

It has been a really exciting few months. Prior to our move (which was about two weeks ago) I was busy painting murals in Philadelphia with my awesome, super talented, number one lover Dustin. I had the opportunity to work with Rebecca Troutman and introduce her to the world of raw food. Since our move I've been enjoying the crisp air, beautiful mountains, FRESH produce from the locals farmers, and have begun to sow The Raw Seed here in Boulder!
