Norito Maddness!

After mentioning "Noritos" in The Seed's Secret Episode, we received several requests for the recipe. Making noritos is SUPER quick and simple... not to mention, they taste incredible

If you purchased The Magically Mysterious Raw Recipe E-Book you will find the norito cheese recipe in the e-book disguised as "Red Pepper Dip." There is one change to the Red Pepper Cheese Dip recipe when you are making noritos... instead of using 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast, use 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast.

If you haven't purchased the e-book, here is the recipe:

Norito Cheese & Noritos

1 cup cashews (soaked 6 hours - overnight)
1/4 cup diced onion (red or sweet yellow)
2 tbsp. honey
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 red bell pepper (seeds and stem removed)
1 garlic clove
1 lemon - juice only
5 sheets of RAW nori

1. Rinse and drain the soaked cashews. Blend all ingredients (except for the 5 nori sheets) in your favorite blender until smooth and creamy.

2. Spread about 1/3 cup of "cheese" on a sheet of nori, this recipe will make enough cheese to cover 5 nori sheets.

3. Pleace the nori sheets on dehydrator trays and dehydrate on 105 degrees for 6 hours. After 6 hours, cut the nori sheets into bite size triangles using scissors. Place back in the dehydrator and continue dehydrating for 24 hours or until crispy. It's that easy!

The Red Pepper Cheese Recipe was included in the latest Newsletter. If you haven't joined the mailing list, please add your e-mail address at the top, left side of the website so you can receive all our recipes and fun updates. Enjoy the "how-to" video on making noritos!!!

  10. jolipolie - Great question!

You can definitely make these without nori. Simply spread the cheese mixture on a Teflex sheet, dehydrate for about 6 hours. Score the sheet and create triangular shapes, continue dehydrating for another 6 hours. Flip the noritos and remove the Teflex sheet, continue dehydrating on the mesh screen until crispy. Enjoy!!!
